Mechanical team

The Mechanical Team is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining all the mechanical components of Sustaingineering’s Projects! They use SolidWorks to build 3D CAD models, and are responsible for developing FEA and flo simulations based on the CAD designs.

THIS YEAR’S GOALS

Developing a small-scale wind turbine in partnership with the Casa Congo NGO in El Astillero, Nicaragua. The turbine will supplement grid reliability for local facilities.
Conducting a life cycle assessment.
Building an iterated prototype of the turbine.
